1. Software Introduction
Universal RAID Utility (hereinafter called "this software") is RAID System
Management Utility for the following applicable models.

2. Applicable model
  <Express5800 server>
  - Express5800/R140f-4
  <RAID Controllers>
  - N8103-7177 RAID Controller(1GB, RAID 0/1/5/6)
  - N8103-7178 RAID Controller(2GB, RAID 0/1/5/6)
  - N8103-7004 RAID Controller(2GB, RAID 0/1/5/6)
  For users who will install following Windows on NEC Express5800 series.
  - Windows Server 2012 R2
  - Windows Server 2012

3. Installation Procedure
  Refer to the "Universal RAID Utility User's Guide" which is contained
in the installation image for the detailed procedure of the installation.

4. General Notice
  (1) Restart of the server after Universal RAID Utility installation
      /update/uninstallation by ExpressUpdate.
      When you install, update, or uninstall Universal RAID Utility with
      the Automatic Reboot checkbox checked, "Installation Failed" or
      "Reboot Required" may be displayed as the current status. 
      In this case, the installation, update, or uninstallation has
      been successfully finished. However, you must restart the server
      where you install Universal RAID Utility. If you leave the server
      without restart, Universal RAID Utility will not operate properly.

  (2) The RAID Viewer and the Log Viewer are not available in Windows
      Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 Server Core. Use raidcmd with
      the administrative right.

  (3) Universal RAID Utility appears as uninstalled even if it has been
      installed Universal RAID Utility may be displayed as Uninstalled on
      the window of ExpressUpdate even if it has been installed in the
      computer to be monitored.
      This symptom occurs in either of the following cases:

      (a) Uninstall Universal RAID Utility and then install Universal RAID
          Utility in the folder different from that you have installed 
          before, WITHOUT restarting the computer before install it. 

      (b) Install ExpresssUpdate Agent and install Universal RAID Utility
          first time.

      In either case, the display will become normal after restarting the
      server or ExpressUpdate Agent service. 

  (4) Be sure log out of the computer to be monitored before you uninstall
      Universal RAID Utility from the computer using ExpressUpdate.
