1.About the software
 "N8190-153/154/157/158 Fibre Channel Controller driver for Windows Server 
  2008R2/2012/2012R2 Driver" ("the Software"),for Windows Server 2008R2/2012/
  2012R2 will make the enhancements or solve the issues for NEC Express5800 
  server products as below.

3.Driver install procedures

 Perform the following steps to extract the Software and install the driver.

 -Confirm Driver version.

 (1) Boot the system and log in(sign in) it using administrator.

 (2) Run Explorer and open the following folder.

      %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\DRIVERS

    *Note*
     SYSTEMROOT's default is C:\WINDOWS

 (3) Open the properties of "%SYSTEMROOT%system32\DRIVERS\elxfc.sys".

 (4) Click [Details] tab and confirm the [File version].

 If the File version is 2.76.3.1 or over, you don't need to setup driver.

 *If you use N8190-153/154, elxfc.sys may not exist.
  Also in this case, install the driver following steps.

 - How to extract:
 (1) Download 422061-A01_xxxxxx.zip(xxxxx is an expression of arbitrary numbers)
     to any directory. (for example, "C:\TEMP" folder) 

 (2) Extract 422061-A01_xxxxxx.zip(xxxxx is an expression of arbitrary numbers).
     Note: You must not use the folder with the name including space (" ")
     in extracting the zip file.
 
 - How to install:
 (1) Execute \win\install.vbs(unziped files) using an appropriate tool 
     such as Explorer.

 (2) The following message appears. Please click [Yes].
     [Do you want to setup the Fibre Channel Controller?]
     Start driver update.

 (3) The following message appears. Please reboot the system after click [OK].
     [This setup finished successfully. Please restart the system.]

 (4) After restart system, confirm Driver version following procedure.
     1) Run Explorer and open the following folder.
      %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\DRIVERS
     2) Open the properties of "%SYSTEMROOT%system32\DRIVERS\elxfc.sys".
     3) Click [Details] tab and confirm the [File version].
     4) Confirm to File version is 2.76.3.1.

4.Notes
  About NPIV function
  If you use NPIV function, refer to following procedure.
   *NPIV function supported on WS2012 and WS2012R2.

  (1)Log in(sign in) it using administrator. Execute Command Prompt and change 
     directory to following path.
     c:\Program Files\Emulex\Util\OCManager\

  (2)Execute following command.
     >hbacmd listhba

  (3)Information of controller appears.

  (4)Record WWPN of first port on information of controller.

  (5)Execute following command by referring to recorded WWPN.

     >hbacmd setdriverparam <WWPN> G P EnableNPIV 1

     Ex)>hbacmd setdriverparam 10:00:00:00:c9:79:f3:55 G P EnableNPIV 1

  (6)After executing command, NPIV function of all port is enabled.
     If you set NPIV function is disabled, change last number "1" to "0".
     Ex)>hbacmd setdriverparam 10:00:00:00:c9:79:f3:55 G P EnableNPIV 0

  (7)Reboot the system.

  (8)After reboot, execute following command for confirming NPIV function.

    >hbacmd getdriverparams <WWPN>

    If Cur of EnableNPIV is 1, NPIV function is enabled.
    *If Cur of EnableNPIV is 0, NPIV function is disabled.

   1)Support latest Firmware of N8190-157/158.
   2)Support NPIV.
   3)Support to connect N8190-157/158 and N8190-153/154 on a server.
