Question

Answer

  1. You can check with the "NQSV Version" displayed by qstat -Bf option.
    If you want to check the revision, do the following on the BSV host:

    $ rpm -qa | grep NQSV

    JM and JSV versions can be checked in the same way on each host.

  2. Yes, you can.
    In the file (/etc/opt/nec/nqsv/nqs_bsv.env), edit BSV_PARAM='-p <new port number>'
    and restart BSV with the systemctl command.
    For CUI/API, please append the batch_server_port <new port number> to the file (/etc/opt/nec/nqsv/api_client.conf).

    It is also possible to change the port number in JSV.
    In the file (/etc/opt/nec/nqsv/nqs_jsv.env), edit JSV_PARAM='-p <new port number>'
    and restart JSV with the systemcyl command.

  3. This message tells you that the ASV cannot be doubly started.
    Please execute the following command to see if there is a running nqs_asvd process.

    $ systemctl status nqs-asv or
    $ ps -elf | grep nqs_asvd

    If there is no nqs_asvd process, some temporary file is unexpectedly left for some reason
    after the previous nqs_asvd process terminated.
    Delete the file as below and then try to launch ASV again.

    # rm /run/nec/nqsv/asv/.asvd_pid

  4. If the following logs are in the BSV log, the account file exceeds the maximum file size (in this case, 2GB):

    nqs_acmd[25442]: Failed to process file. (path:/var/opt/nec/nqsv/acm/jacct/jobacct)(offset: 2147490384)
    nqs_acmd[25442]: Failed to collect and send.

    Please increase the maximum file size limit to an appropriate value according to the operation status.
    Refer to 2.2 Accounting Monitor in NQSV User's Guide [Accounting & Budget Control] to add the maximum file size setting (ACCTFILESIZE_LIMIT) to the accounting monitor configuration file (/etc/opt/nec/nqsv/acmd.conf).

User

  1. The qsub command -S option allows you to change the shell when the request is
    The shell must be specified in full path. The shell of the request can be referenced in the qstat command -f option.
    By default, it is a login shell.

    example)change to ksh
    $ qsub -S /bin/ksh

    $ qstat -f <request ID>
    :
    Shell = /bin/ksh

    If you specify a shell that does not exist on the execution host, the job will fail to run.
    You can change it with the qalter command -S <path-name> <request ID> before it starts.

  2. The request may have the wrong resource usage settings.
    Check the Scheduler Message for the qstat command -f option.
